Moorland-Spingarn Research Center - The Moorland-Spingarn Research Center (MSRC) is recognized as one of the world's largest and most comprehensive repositories for the documentation of the history and culture of people of African descent in Africa, the Americas, and other parts of the world. As one of Howard University's major research facilities, the MSRC collects, preserves, and makes available for research a wide range of resources chronicling the Black experience.

The series ran for nine issues from 1986 through 1989, with a four issue spin-off series, Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters in 3-D which ran for four issues in 1986.

Black Hole (comics) - Black Hole is a graphic novel written and illustrated by Charles Burns. It was originally published as a 12-issue comic book series between 1995 and 2005 by Kitchen Sink Press and Fantagraphics, and then released in a compiled hardcover edition by Pantheon Books in 2005.

Black Projects, White Knights - Black Projects, White Knights is a collection of short stories written by Kage Baker and published by small-press science fiction publisher Golden Gryphon, assembling various short stories set in the universe of The Company series, which comprises the bulk of her published fiction. Almost all of the stories contained within this volume have been published previously in the pages of Asimov's Science Fiction, with the remainder being previously unpublished.

Originally published in 1910 (with a second, revised edition in 1911), The National Game by Alfred H. Spink is the first important history of baseball, predating Albert G. Spalding's better-known America's National Game by a year.
